We want to make medical vitamins broadly available to those who really need them. We also want to make it easy for patients to take their vitamins every day.
DEKAsvitamins.com develops DEKAs all-in-one vitamins. DEKAs all-in-one vitamins are based on a clinically tested delivery technology that enhances the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. DEKAs all-in-one fat-soluble vitamins have been specifically developed for patients that have difficulties absorbing fat-soluble vitamins, such as patients with Cystic Fibrosis, Cholestatic Liver Disease or after Bariatric Surgery. DEKAs is made in the USA by Callion Pharma. DEKAs vitamins are widely available in the Americas and Europe.
In Europe DEKAs is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and must be taken under medical supervision.
The Team at DEKAsvitamins.com
As many good things, DEKAsvitamins.com is a team effort. The team at DEKAsvitamins.com includes experienced professionals who have served the cystic fibrosis community for many years.
Roberto Jongejan, MD, PhD
Roberto Jongejan studied Medicine in Amsterdam (Netherlands), and received his PhD in Pulmonary Pharmacology from the Departments of Pediatric Pulmonology and Pharmacology in Rotterdam (Netherlands). He devoted his career to innovative pharmaceutical healthcare approaches and drug reinvention. He has worked in Cystic Fibrosis medicine for the last 13 years and was surprised that AquADEKs was no longer available in Europe.
“Good nutrition matters in patients with malabsorption of vitamins. The treatment guidelines are clear on that. Also the treatment burden in Cystic Fibrosis or Cholestatic Liver Disease is high. And compliance in patients after Bariatric Surgery is an everyday challenge. So making it easier for patients to take their daily vitamins matters a lot.”
Dirk Krause, MD, PharmD
Dirk Krause studied medicine in Berlin and pharmacy in Mainz (Germany). He worked Clinical Oncology and has an inherent drive to provide support to patients in need. In his almost 10 years working in the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) community in Germany and Austria he remained surprised how much work is left to inform payers about the importance of vitamin supply to CF patients when this is public knowledge in the medical community.
“With its specifically designed micelle technology DEKAs vitamins offers a significant advantage in ensuring the benefits of a guideline compliant vitamin status for patients with malabsorption of vitamins. Something to support wholeheartedly!”
